Welcome to “La Rapiette,” our charming retreat in the village of Payroux, bordering the Charente. As a Belgian couple, we welcome you to our 7-hectare estate, where we offer 3 cozy rooms with private bathrooms and provide a delicious breakfast with local delicacies.

This old bergerie, once the artistic residence of the famous painter/ tapestry designer René Fumeron, exudes authenticity, with a central fireplace in our cozy relaxation room. We are an “Adults Only” Bed & Breakfast, focused on rest and pampering.

Several nights a week you can enjoy Kurt’s specialties at our table d’hôtes, ranging from grilled meats to fine wines. During hunting season, we also offer game dishes from our winter barbecue.

Surrounded by beautiful nature, we offer a paradise for hikers, cyclists and motorcyclists. Just 10 minutes from the Val de Vienne race track, we are also conveniently located for visitors to the Abbaye Royale de la Réau and other historical sites.

Our estate is perfect for nature lovers, painters, yoga practitioners and relaxing by the pool. Fishermen, hunters and kayakers will find their niche here. In short, there is something for everyone!

Chambres d’hôtes ‘La Rapiette’ accepts no liability for loss, theft, damage or accidents caused to persons and/or property during or as a result of the stay in the chambres d’hotes.

This also applies to the use of belongings in the common areas and rooms. Breakage or damage can be reported to us. If, after checking out, it appears that things are broken and this has not been reported, we can charge you for repair and/or replacement costs.
